Qualifications:
Under general supervision will perform variety of supervisory work to accomplish and maintain repairs, security, event set up and custodial work at the Civic Center. Responsible to assist and coordinate with Civic Center Division Manager and Facilities Division Manager for contracted maintenance and repairs, gather data for budget purposes and assist in purchasing supplies in area of responsibility. Supervise Civic Center Attendants, conduct training and safety meetings. Requires computer skills to initiate and maintain financial records and requests for materials. Works closely with Civic Center Events Coordinator to ensure event set up, a high level of customer satisfaction and responsiveness, overall building maintenance prior, during and after events. Prefer at least three years of general maintenance and supervisory experience. Requires Texas Driver’s license with good driving record, driving record will be checked. Projected date of job availability is March, 2012.

Tech II: Must meet Tech I qualifications plus 6 months experience equivalent to Street Maintenance Technician I or formal training in the operation of heavy equipment in an accredited school; basic understanding of rigid and flexible pavements; and certification by the Texas Engineering Extension Service in the placement of traffic control devices.
